Instead, these former Bay Area residents are attracted to West Seattle–13% of the most recent Redfin searches have been for homes in West Seattle, now the top neighborhood in our city. Coincidentally, because of its relatively lower prices, West Seattle has also been attracting the likes of millennials looking to buy a home.
West Seattle amenities include the always-popular Alki Beach, access to ferries, numerous bars and restaurants and a bus line that drives directly downtown.
Windermere real estate agent Sandy Brown said there has been particular interest in the northern and western parts of West Seattle; California Junction, Morgan Junction and the Admiral District.
