Andrew Palmer has served as Assistant Controller for Pyatt Broadmark Management since June, 2014. He manages the day-to-day accounting for investor accounts in PBM’s real estate lending funds; including sending monthly investor statements, distribution payments, and handling fund banking. His other responsibilities include providing support to associates of Broadmark Capital, daily accounting for Broadmark Capital, and providing support for annual auditors and FINRA regulators.
After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from The Evergreen State College, Mr. Palmer began his career as bookkeeper for the Western Washington affiliate of the National Foundation for Credit Counseling. His duties included managing a very active trust account, reviewing credit reports, writing grants, and processing HUD loans and bankruptcies. While working for the NFCC, he attended University of Washington Milgard School of Business non-matriculated accounting program. After receiving his certificate of completion, he worked in tax accounting for a year, and then moved to the administrative department of Moss Adams where he spent four years as part of the bookkeeping team for a company with over $400 million in annual revenue across twenty office locations.
Mr. Palmer lives in north Seattle with his wife and one year old daughter. He enjoys snowboarding, brewing, working on home improvements, and spending time with family.
