Plans for development have been implemented for one of South Lake Union’s last remaining park spaces. The 2-acre land is currently made last night which include building commercial and residential towers.

Paul Allen, Microsoft co-counder and the owner of Vulcan Real Estate, who is planning to develop the land, had once wanted to turn most of South Lake Union into green space. This clashes greatly with the current concrete jungle that is South Lake Union, causing the development plans to be potentially controversial, as members of the community very much enjoy the existing park.
